A new Mobile Device Management (MDM) that is built into Office 365 that will enable users to manage data across a range of Phones and tables were announced to be in roll for the first quarter of 205 by Office 365. With the help of MDM, Administrators will be able to set and manage Mobile device Policies. This will also enable the users to remove Office 365 corporate data from a device whenever an employee leaves their organizations.
By 2015, Administrators will be able to manage DLP policies across the services and applications from Office 365 compliance center. By doing this, end users will now comprehend what is happening through real time and policy tips.
Office 365 also announced an advanced encryption for SharePoint Online and OneDrive for business called- ‘per- file encryption’. This encrypts every file stored in SharePoint Online and Onedrive for Business with its own unique Key, and also encrypts each succeeding update to the file with an additional unique key.
Microsoft is continually investing to ensure Office365 meets the industry standards and regulations. Office365 meets key international standards and certifications like ISO 270018, it goes through periodic SSAE 16 audits with SOC 1 and SOC 2 reports and offers EU Model clauses. Office 365 also supports compliance with specific industry standards and regulations such as IRS 1075 and CJIS. And Office 365 also continues to advance their commitment to privacy. Office 365 is the first and only cloud provider that was recognized to meet the European Union Data Protection Authorities standards for international transfer of data. They are also working to meet the standards of ISO 27018.
